Tunisia, the first quarter marks the resumption

The recovery of Tunisia is now, in fact. Alongside the positive reports of Italian tour operators and travel agents , in fact, comes official confirmation of the Tunisian Ministry of Tourism, which released the data for the first three months of 2012.


In the period from January to March 938,000 tourists arrived in Tunisia, that is 53percent more than the same period of 2011. Which has generated increased revenues, compared to the same month, by 37 percent year over last year.

Among the foreign markets, the first is France with 116 thousand presences, followed by Germany with 42 thousand, and from Great Britain and Italy, which together have resulted in 42 000 tourists in the country.

The dominant markets are that of localities near boundaries: most of the tourists come, in fact, from the Maghreb, especially Algeria and Libya that have generated 629,000 arrivals in Tunisia.
